I was just telling my mother-in-law, Im color-phobic when it comes to my own house. I love color and can do color for other people but my house is white and taupe and brown.- the parts I like are at least. And then BOOM country living finds the plain but pretty house of my christmas dreams!

ReplyDeleteI too stick to a very neutral palate; I think a gold scarf is the brightest item in my closet. But I wouldn't have it any other way!
So gorgeous! Although to be fair it would be hard not to make that fireplace NOT look gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI think a good idea is to start pretty neutral and then just add "pops" of colour here and there. Not saying I do that, because I'm probably more of a colour schizophrenic and all over the place. But the idea sounds good I think.
I have to admit my own house is full of neutrals, too (even though I am a designer who loves to use color!).
